Alice in Tumblr-land - Tim Manley

Um not sure what to say about this. I think I would have preferred a chapter to each story than random little snippets from page to page. I laughed a couple of times but overall it was disappointing.

Storm Front - Jim Butcher

The audio for this book was a little rough compared to the more recent ones. James Marsters didn't have his groove yet. But it's still an great start to one of my favorite series.

The School for Good and Evil - Soman Chainani

I loved this! I was a little nervous about this since there are some many fairy-tale re-tellings out now. But this one was different and totally took me by surprise. I loved the whole concept of a school where good and evil learn their trade and how Sophie and Agatha could fit into both schools. I really liked all the supporting characters. I can't wait for the next one!

Alice in Tumblr-land - Tim Manley

Um not sure what to say about this. I think I would have preferred a chapter to each story than random little snippets from page to page. I laughed a couple of times but overall it was disappointing.

Tiger Lily - Jodi Lynn Anderson

I didn't love this book and didn't hate it. I had very high expectations based on all the reviews I've read. When I picked it up I would fly through it but after I put it down I had a hard time picking it back up again. Some parts seemed to drag and others went by too quickly. Overall it was good but not what I expected.

Lycan Fallout: Rise Of The Werewolf (Volume 1) - Mark Tufo

I love Mike Talbot. He's hilarious, tough, smart, stubborn and loyal. I did get tired of him whining about loosing his family. It happened over a century ago, he needs to get over it and move on. You kind of have to just read and not think too much about the time-line and the logistics. Overall this was a good start to a new series.

Easy - Tammara Webber, Tara Sands

I liked this. I typically don't read romance novels. They're not my cup of tea. But I decided that November is "New Author" month. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and picked up Easy. It was a quick read and well written. I had a hard time believing that she never noticed Lucas before. He's described as the type of guy that all women notice when he walks by and he seems to be all over campus. I also wanted to smack some sense into Jacqueline throughout most of the book. Overall I enjoyed it but didn’t love it.

Cinder - Marissa Meyer

I'm a big fan of fairy tale retelling's and this one did not disappoint. I did call the big "twist" within the first couple of chapters but that didn't make me like the book less. The character development and world building was great. I can't wait to pick up the next one!

White Trash Zombie Apocalypse - Diana Rowland

Another great installment in the White Trash Zombie Series. I love how much Angel has grown since the first book. She went through a lot in this book and overcame all the obstacles that were thrown at her. I love how loyal she is and that she won't take shit from anyone.

A Faint Cold Fear - Karin Slaughter

I absolutely love this series and all the characters. This was my least favorite of the series so far, but its still a great book. The story was interesting and kept me entertained but most of the "twists" weren't that shocking, except maybe the last one. I also wasn't crazy about Lena's story-line. I know she went through a horrific event but I just didn't understand why she kept on having a relationship with Ethan. Overall this was a quick and entertaining read and I can't wait to pick up the next one!

Dark Days (Apocalypse Z) - Manel Loureiro

This was a descent sequel. I didn't love it as much as I did the first but I didn't hate it. The format changed, it wasn't in diary style anymore. That was one of the reasons I really loved the first one. It felt like a real experience.. This one also had multiple POV's which sometimes got annoying. And there was a cliffhanger. Now I have to patiently wait until the third book is translated.

The Shining - Stephen King

I re-read this to freshen up my memory for Doctor Sleep. This was just as scary the 3rd time around as it was the first. This book got me into reading again when I was in high school and will always been one of my all-time favorites.

Doll Bones - Holly Black

I had a hard time getting into this. It was very slow paced for me. I kept waiting for it to get scary and it never really did. I know its a middle grade book, but it still could have been a little creepier. I'm a fan of Holly Black, but this one fell short.

Tricked - Kevin Hearne

Another great installment in the series. I had some minor issues. The person who "tricked" him was obvious. He either needs to hook-up with Granuaile or get over her. I can't take any more of him getting caught staring at her and describing the way her hair looks in the light. Oberon is still my favorite. I was in tears with his Oprah dream. I can't wait to read the next one!

All the Truth That's in Me - Julie Berry

When I first started this novel I thought it was going to be a psychological thriller. I soon realized it was historical fiction/romance. These are genres I normally don't read and I was a little skeptical. It took a little while to get used to the narrative but after a couple of chapters I was hooked.

Fifth Grave Past the Light - Darynda Jones 3.5 stars. I love this series but this is my least favorite. I found Charley sarcasm to be annoying instead of funny/charming.
